The commentary

Similarly to all the facsimile editions produced by Franco Cosimo Panini Editore, the del Perugino Book of Hours comes with a scientific commentary by some of the main scholars and experts on the subject. This volume, which was written as work on the Book of Hours proceeded, is therefore up to date and contains the latest results obtained during the photographic campaign. It discusses the historical and artistic events of the manuscript in all their aspects and also provides an exhaustive codicological outline and a detailed report about all the pages of the precious book. The volume is also sold separately in a bound edition with jacket.
